Rules competition

1. Requirements

Applicants may be all guitar players of any nationality who were born after 12 October 1976.

 


 

2. How to apply for the Competition

Registration fees.

All participants must pay a registration fee of 45 Euros. All bank charges and commissions will be paid by the competitors. The payment will be made through bank transfer to the Association TRASTEARTE, stating clearly the name of the participant and the concept "Guitar Competition”.

-How to send the registration form.

To apply for the Competition, you must send the registration form attaching a current photograph, a photocopy of an identity card or passport, the receipt of having paid the registration fee, a brief curriculum vitae in English or Spanish and the program to be performed during the rounds of the competition.

 

-Participation in the Masterclasses.

Oscar Ghiglia (Italy), Alberto Ponce (Spain) Marcin Dylla (Poland) and Elena Papandreou (Greece) will give the Masterclasss.

The registration fee for the masterclasses amounts to 150 Euros. There is a limitation on the number of places for active students. Each student will receive a total of two lessons with two different teachers. They may also participate in the Competition. Students will be able to express their teacher preferences on the Application Form. The Organization will try to satisfy every student´s request when possible. The registration fee for listeners amounts to 40 Euros.

-List of Participants

The organization shall confirm the acceptance to the admitted candidates by posting the list on the Competition Website, as well as notifying every one of them.

 


 

3. Phases of the Competition

-Accreditation of Participants

Participants must be present for accreditation at the place, date and time determined by the Organising Committee.

Accreditation is mandatory except in cases of force majeure. Those Participants who fail to be present within the time and place specified by the Committee will be disqualified.

 

-Presentation and Official Ballot Draw There will be a draw for the order of performance in both phases of the Competition.

 

 

STAGES OF THE COMPETITION:

Eliminatory Round

Program of free choice with more than 10 minutes and less than 12 minutes in length. In this qualifying round, Participants must play at least one work of a Spanish composer from the list below for the Eliminatory Round* 1.

Semifinal Round

Program of free choice with more than 18 minutes and less than 20 minutes in length. In this qualifying round, Participants must play at least one work of a Spanish composer.

Final Round (up to 4 contestants)

In the final phase of the competition, the Participants will perform a repertoire of free choice with more than 30 minutes and less than 35 minutes in length. The program will be different from that played during the Eliminatory and Semifinal Round and must include at least one work from the Spanish repertoire as detailed below for the Final Round.* 2
